The Diploma in Executive Coaching is a comprehensive 12-day programme giving you the competence, confidence and qualifications to practice as an Executive Coach. At ECS, we are passionate about the coaching profession. We are committed to the quest for mastery and beyond in executive coaching.
This is a stimulating, practical, fun and sometimes challenging course that will enable you to learn the skills of coaching in a way that is congruent with who you are: your unique values and strengths.
A co-creative approach
At ECS we recognise that we all have a different approach to learning. What we do know for sure is that it takes lots of practice, reflection and integration of the learning into who you are as an individual for you to become a master. Our training will support you in this journey.
We will guide you to develop the presence and mindset of an executive coach. We will role model coaching throughout the programme and we will support and challenge you.
You will learn how to ‘hold the space’ for coaching, to ask powerful questions and to listen like you have never before! We will help you to explore how to take coaching clients on a journey towards their desired outcomes. We will share with you some provocative tools and techniques to understand your clients and to help them to gain new insights and meaningful growth.
Our approach offers proven theoretical concepts delivered in an interactive, co-creative and emergent style, founded on transformative relational principles.

The programme is led by leading practitioner Allard de Jong, a global coach and trainer. Allard has 15 years’ experience solving organisations’ “people problems” and measurably increasing their senior executives’ contribution value by accelerating their leadership development.

The 12-day programme costs a total of £3,600.
To create the conditions for a great learning experience, a minimum of 8 participants will be required. Maximum numbers are 16.

We will offer everyone who completes the course the opportunity to continue to participate in group or one-to-one supervision as part of their professional practice. These sessions will incur additional cost.
Upcoming Executive Coaching Courses
Executive Coaching Fundamentals
The first three-day module in our Executive Coaching Diploma is a foundation in executive coaching. It will provide new coaches with the skill and confidence to begin practising with clients as coaches in training. You will learn the Core Competencies of executive coaching and how to apply these in performance coaching. The emphasis is on the application of theory through exercises, skills practice and observational feedback.
Executive Coaching Tools
This module builds on the fundamentals. You will learn the art of contracting and about the cycle of development and how people learn. We will explore a variety of powerful coaching tools to enable you to creatively support your client’s development and you will practice these with fellow participants. In this module you will have observational feedback on your practice and group supervision.
Executive Coaching Relationships
Building on fundamentals and a toolbox of techniques this module explores relationships in coaching. Relational coaching is at the heart of working with clients at a transformational level. In this module we will practice the principles of relational coaching in action. We will also have group supervision.
Executive Coaching Mastery
This module is about expanding your competence and confidence as an executive coach. We will explore the different levels of coaching, from ‘performance coaching’ to ‘coaching for resolutions’. You will present your learning journey and how this informs your methodology and approach. We will support you in developing your professional profile and brand as an executive coach and consider how to build your practice. We will have group supervision.
